There are so many memories I have of your mother. We shared laughter, tears, joys, problems, and life. The one thing that stands out most to me is your Mother's faith. She was a Christian. Her life reflected this so many times. She helped teach Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, sang in the choir, sang in the Christmas Cantatas, volunteered to work numerous church dinners and rummage sales. She took a bunch of us ladies (several who did not read music) and turned us into a Hand Bell Choir. She did not hesitate to agree to be Godmother to my two children when I asked her. I know that when she met Jesus this week that He told her, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Diana was a "sister" and a great friend to me. She accepted each person as special in their own way. She loved to sing and play music. Even the last year when she couldn't always remember the words, she would sing messages to the people who were taking care of her. She wanted so much to be helpful at Highland, glad to fold towels.
I have so many treasured memories of our times together and her trying to give advice as a mother would. I was sometimes too stubborn to follow that suggestion, but always know she was looking out for me. Those memories will keep encouraging me.

I have fond memories of my Foster cousin...Diana reminded me of my great grandmother, Bertha Foster Lane.
